Programmers who true to the spirit can work with any programming language to solve the problem at hand. Generalists who can become specialists in any field. Experts in fields where we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Wireless/Bluetooth, Embedded Systems.
You will be challenged and pushed to your limit. You may have to rewrite your favourite C++ library to work in a system with 8KB RAM or scale it to massively parallel machines. You will be responsible for every bit of memory you allocate and every CPU cycle you burn.
You will be rewarded with better than industry pay and equity. However the biggest reward will not have dollar figures attached to it. It is the feeling you get doing what you do best and making an impact in this world.
Mechanical Engineers at Nod Labs are at the forefront of product design – bringing new technology, like our ultra small wearable device, to market.
This requires a large variety of activities – prototyping, testing, 3D design, implementing and refining the industrial design, optimizing user experience, product offering refinement, dfm, and sustaining engineering. Being part of a startup gives you the opportunity to be involved in all these activities and more.
Passion for human factors and excellent user experience is a must. Meeting core functional requirements (like waterproofing, chemical resistance, structural integrity, size minimization, etc) underpins supple hinges, comfy textures, snappy tactile buttons, and more.
We use solidworks as our primary CAD tool and having at least 2 years of consumer product development experience is a plus. A portfolio is helpful but not required. Send us what you have to start the conversation.
